This blog post, as well as all other inital posts, have been revised September 2024.
Our first note here is on the design of smart contracts, and how we could refine fees (especially in terms of connecting to carbon offsetting, biodiversity certification & more) so they somehow incorporate sustainability & regenerative goals. We suggest creating a set of blockchains to aid in this process, which would vastly simplify accounting mechanisms, if properly assisted by oracles & aggregate oracle mechanisms. We have some specific names in mind which we will reveal in due time. Let it thus be clear we will need a multiple token model to achieve all our goals. To come to Trees-as-a-Service, we have to generate several pillars to get to a fully functional (d)application… Hence we are exploring multiple sides of the same coin, if not a diamond _which for now (and foreseeable time) is in the rough. Our first magictribe.one membership series, besides offering a base or gold membership valid for 3 years, also will make its 10.000 holders lifetime member of our Treespaces (S)DAO. It will allow members to co-govern the DAO, as well as open doors to co-govern where trees are planted, or co-govern forests… In due time, as our Treespaces Community grows, as well as our broader Magictribe.one ecosystem, step by step, we will be refining & clarifying. Except for coding, maybe we could initiate a different way of strategically using smart contracts at their very foundation. More about this later. For now, this smart graphic will suffice:
The immediate consequence is placing this actively within the crypto/blockchain community. We are planning to organise Snifties Awards in the larger framework of a “Festival of Sustainable Dreams” & are very gently negotiating with different cities to see where would be the most advantageous place to organise our first rewards. As this organisation will require quite some preparation, we foresee Q4 2024/Q1 2025 as a reasonable target to bring a first edition to life…
Except for this we want to film the process of how Treespaces come/s into being & are specifically looking at crowdfunding mechanisms to bring this into being. Just like our experiments on water and energy and many more, the principle will always be the same to as much as possible connect the physical with digital NFTs. This way our gaming aspect grows as several sustainable teams and regenerative pilot projects, acting as pillars to our ultimate goal of TaaS, are brought into being. Below image shows how all of our pilots will be connected to the local level. We would love to work with the team of solar powered skylight, as well as for instance warkawater.org However, we also have a plan for watershrooms as mentioned before in our blogpost on rewarding biodiversity. These will happen through initiating specific membership series around water, or for instance solar energy. This requires several entities cooperating to intertwine all necessary elements to drive acceleration and regeneration, which happens through our collaboration with magictribe.one and Magictribe Media Ltd.
In order to be able to do this, we need exponentially growing partnerships _which we will start to deploy sooner rather than later. We have created one important pilar & first full partnership with magictribe.one, which has taken its time (due to necessity of funds & quite some technical hurdles.) This is also why the writings in this blog have been time adapted, to befully honest. The goal of creating this first vehicle, which will have its own crypto/ecosystem is the need we felt for designing som kind of sustainable launchpad for NFT drops. Even now, it is still very fresh and in its initial stages, but the idea is clearly to have a team in place which can get creative with NFT functionalities, incorporating sustainability from the start, as well as keeping the door open to other charities and companies beyond Treespaces itself. It will help us build towards integration of relating values, such as water, energy, real estate, natural cosmetics, and so forth. What Magictribe One will do is explore the possible through the fairly technical lens of blockchain & NFT architectures. It will be great to see artists as well as (web3) IT teams develop novel strategies and storylines. Moreover, it leaves the door open to more Magictribes… which comes in handy in our overall gameplay. Just like our lite paper, first NFTdrops have been ‘slightly’ delayed, but we are working hard to make it happen. Just a little more patience…
Our first enormous endeavour will be to inspire seedhubs globally. Though we will work with several teams on different tracks, we have to keep our eye on tree-nurseries or seedhubs. So, if we are to propose a timeline, we envision setting up central hubs on each continent by end of 2025 & then have seedhubs in each country by end 2026, latest mid 2027. Impossible to fully predict, as many regions and countries will allow it certainly, whilst others may be hesitant or difficult, due to local circumstances or governmental restrictions. However, not undertaking this endeavour would be dumb. We must try to forward this as fast as we (humanly) can. And be mindful of the fact we will not be just handing geodesic domes out, but will take care to start constructing seedhubs in committed & conscious communities… Money doesn’t get created out of thin air. We’ll have to balance our economic ecosystems wisely.
Obviously, all these pillars, pilot projects and corresponding teams will start strengthening our whole endeavour. We will start to see a gradual, but ever accelerating growth. A wonderful adventure for humanity at large… with modularity at its core. In terms of gameplay, it seems like we make a grand design, but will it be fully feasible & functional? For instance, from marketing perspective, will The Blue Elephants Art Club appeal to lovers of The Bored Ape Yacht Club? Look at these early blog posts as youwould look toward a drawing board. Do we truly need The Blue Elephants Art Club? The Theatre of Legends? Cards revolving around sneaky and freaky zombies, as mentioned in our other blogposts? It should be the community that gives direction and co-decides. And that initial community is incoming. Better to have our community make suggestions, generate user generated content (UGC…) The whole point is to co-create and to co-govern, and to learn in a playful way. By now, the white paper of magictribe.one reflects the idea of a Magic Theatre… Let’s see how this evolves, as pilots in schools will start, and once our first 10.000 memberships are a tangible, real fact.
As our first crowdfunding efforts start shaping form in concert with magictribe.one, amongst a broader scope of gamified releases, we will also start focussing the newly minted NFTs around Iasin Sokolov’s initial NFT (check our home page for an early visual), which then brings geo-location capacities in the picture. Collect NFTs to figure out where is a specific co-governed forest? The release of other magictribe.one membership series around water collection, energy and so forth, will dimensionalise our games and gamification strategues, within the larger framework of what the magictribe.one ecosystem aims to bring about… From day one, we knew the Treespaces.io design/endeavour was made to allow for organic growth, based on tribes or teams growing into being at their respective pace. (If you are reading this now, keep in mind our first 10 blogposts were orignally written during 2022, and have been adapted Q3 2024. So, you see we had to walk a long and winding road to finally be able to jumpstart and bootstrap our respective ecosystems… Especially, the technological capacities had to mature… All good things take time!) We foresee several Councils, such as a ‘Game Design Council’ or for instance, a ‘Legal Council’ to make the overall processes/operations run smoother. A ‘Fair Permissions Council’ could facilitate tribes in minting new in-game NFTs more autonomously, under certain (sustainable) conditions. Again, these early (drawing board) ideations will evolve as our communities and teams grow. Nothing is wrong with changing names, in line with the wishes of our growing communities, as well as our growing knowledge, or for instance effective new partnerships. There is no shame in pivoting, if it makes our teams, pilots and overlapping projects more strong, as well as more economically realistic and practically feasible. We’ll have to see how far we can drive this, and our community will be quintessential to generate appropriate direction.
As our endeavour encompasses so many variables and unknowns, it is only logical we forward gradually _narrowing down datasets useful to get an ever better sight on elements as Product Market Fit and metrics as Burn Rate, Life Time Value & Customer Retention Rate.
A first target towards gaming, except for an organically evolving gameplay through emission of physical cards, as well as NFTs, would be a simple game for all ages _where the goal is to plant planets full with fruit bearing trees. We have a ‘drawing board’ ideation on a game called PLANET HARVEST, which we wish to further explore. Above images are also an open invitation towards Musk, Bezos, Branson or others in the space industry to get the first fruit bearing tree into space. It is simply something which captures the imagination, although not fully new. Azuma Makoto sent a bonsai into space, international endeavours have been trying to grow small organisms, algae and plants in space & cross lining anorganic and organic chemistry could provide novel options. Usually, size matters. Well for now, in any case. Even a tiny tree in space would make for an awesome, jawdropping realisation/event. Let’s see what will be possible…
As mentioned here and in our article on gameplay, we will integrate geolocation in the sides of certain NFT-series. Though it may still be overwhelming to grasp the totality of what Treespaces.io is bringing about, we will provide more structured clarity forwarding into 2024-2025. ‘Getting there’ on all continents, in as much as possible countries and regions, into space, on other planets, depends on complex interactions with many unknowns; But luckily there are also a lot of knowns… Connecting people, sustainable communities, regenerative pilots and a growing library of biodiverse know-how will be our driving force and guiding light.
Another way of capturing value, is have artists have a go at the background into the letters of treespaces.io, as the image shown above here… It may feel and look like a ’small thing’… Yet, simple designing competitions could help us generate powerful building blocks for our marketing effort, as well as relatively easy deployment of all kinds of collectible NFT series. The background could reflect logo’s of partners, fruits, anything visual attractive and could be turned into very short moving images, with a changing background. It is all about getting really creative. We are only warming up. Pupils and students of schools can help to co-create all kinds of game ideas, as well as visually attractive NFTs. This will be a fun & exciting journey for all of us!
